Construction Accountant

JS Design Build, Inc is a growing design and construction firm in Napa. We are looking for a full charge construction bookkeeper.

You will report regularly to the General Manager and President on the overall profitability of our projects and the company’s overall financial health.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day accounting functions, including payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, chart of accounts, and general ledger.
• Create and maintain an operating budget
• Perform detailed and accurate tracking of all costs related to our construction projects.
• Reconcile all accounts monthly, maintain an accurate balance sheet, and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Work closely with the CPA to prepare year end financials, adjustments, and JIs
• Submit all required information and reports for tax filing in a timely manner.
• Payroll (utilizing Buildertrend timekeeping and QBO Payroll)
• Audit prep
• Business license filings
• Update cash flow spreadsheet weekly

Qualifications

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in construction bookkeeping

Education

BA degree in Accounting or Business Administration

Skills

• QuickBooks Online
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Outlook
• Buildertrend knowledge helpful
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

This is a full time, in-office position.

Pay is commensurate with experience, starting at $30/hr.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
